My name is Gonçalo (ç reads like façade) and I come from Lisbon, in sunny Portugal. After living in Sweden for ten years, I moved to San Francisco hoping to soak up all the sunshine I missed while living up north. Little did I know I'd find myself in a foggy surprise...
My journey began in the world of Biology, where I earned a PhD in medical science and spent years conducting hands-on research. But after a while, I realized something important: I wasn't just passionate about science - I was passionate about sharing it! I wanted to make science more accessible, more engaging, and more fun.
So, I decided it was time for a change.
I swapped my pipettes for a creative toolkit and enrolled at Hyper Island to study animation. It was a wild ride, full of new challenges, but it gave me the skills and perspective I needed to become a better storyteller.
Now, I'm blending my scientific background with my animation skills to create captivating videos that make science exciting and accessible for everyone. My mission is simple: to harness the power of visuals to spark curiosity, tell compelling stories and inspire people to explore the wonders of science.
